Virtual Humans

Hi my classmates,

1-"So,we want things to be not quite perfect",paragraph 5. Why does EdCatmula think that creating a perfect symetrical actor can be "wrong" ?

2-To me,I think that virtual humans may look like human beings at the first glance, their bodys, fabrics, movements and hair. But what about their eyes? Can any aother creature have that deep unique look?

3-The author says that virtual humans cost less than real actors.Do you think the producer and designers of these human virtual will charge less in the future?

4-Do you prefer virtual humans to perform heroic rols or subplot roles? Why?

  1. A2. As you mentioned, virtual humans may look like human at the first glance. I believe that i can notice virtual humans is just virtual humans so far. Human try to create virtual actors look like figure of a human. But, how creates exactly same human figure? I don't think so.

A4. Both of them would be fine to me. I think it depends on movie genre or director's taste.

  2. 2- I think these virtual humans may look real by their shapes and movements, but I do not believe that they look like humans. I do not think they want them look exactly like humans because they want them special.

3- I do not agree with the author that they cost less than humans actors. Because these virtual humans and animation become so popular, and I believe that anything popular costs more not less.

  3. 1- I think this concept of perfectness bring us to real life charactarestics which is no body or things are perefect. Also, creating symetrical actor tend to be less attractive and lose audince attentions'.

2- since we depend more on advance digital technology, I think they will become more expensive to produce 3D movies for instance.
